Awrel Releases Dentistry’s First Customizable Voice-Enabled Dental Product Ordering Platform

Dental labs and suppliers can improve customer service with voice-guided data entry and conversational-based transactions via web, mobile or voice assistants

Boston – November 30, 2017–

Awrel, a provider of web, mobile and voice solutions for the dental market, today unveiled its Awrel Partners Portal™ Platform, which enables dental supply companies and labs to provide their customers with intelligent, voice-guided ordering of implants, supplies and equipment. With this powerful capability, companies can readily extend order processing capabilities beyond current paper-, web- and mobile-based forms to environments that deliver next-generation conversational voice experiences.

Companies using Awrel can private-label their offerings, define unique workflows, and create company- and product-specific conversational exchanges. Awrel-empowered custom digital workflows can streamline ordering for nearly anything – implants, instruments, cements, sealers, crowns, office supplies, etc. — via computer, mobile device or digital voice assistant such as an Amazon Echo or Google Home. The system’s design ensures that the person placing the order responds to product-specific prompts from a voice-powered agent or chatbot, and that each subsequent interaction follows an intelligent, protocol-based conversational flow. After the order is completed, it can be sent via message to the supplier or lab, or customized to flow directly into an existing electronic ordering system.

Awrel introduced its initial solution, dentistry’s first stand-alone HIPAA-compliant texting app, to solve a risk problem facing thousands of dental professionals who, today, do not comply with federal law when texting PHI via native Android and Apple apps. “We soon realized that dentistry could logically benefit from next-gen voice assistants. This is a logical extension of our offerings,” said Arnold Rosen, DDS, Awrel founder and CEO. “As a prosthodontist, my hands serve as the tools of my trade. I’d rather they be working to create a great smile than typing orders into a computer or cell phone. With voice technology, my hands are free to work and to put my focus where it belongs – on the patient.”

Rosen is unaware of other vendors offering this solution in dentistry. “We’re very pleased to be the first dental software provider to deliver voice-assisted, hands-free ordering,” he said. “With this technology, dental care providers will see improved productivity and quality while suppliers and labs will accelerate their sales processes. This is a definite win-win.”

Companies deploying Awrel’s voice capabilities can also provide customers with Awrel’s ready-to-download texting and collaboration tool for HIPAA-compliant sharing and storage of messages, images, documents and scans.
